Your step-by-step roadmap

Use this checklist to plan your Australia application from research to visa. If youโ€™re unsure where to start, follow the steps in order.

1) Choose your level and course

Decide whether youโ€™re applying for a Bachelorโ€™s, Masterโ€™s, Graduate Diploma, or VET program. Shortlist 3โ€“6 courses based on entry requirements, tuition, location, and graduate outcomes.

2) Check entry requirements

Confirm academic requirements, English test scores (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL), prerequisites, and portfolio requirements (if applicable). Note any deadlines and document rules for your country.

3) Budget and plan funding

Estimate tuition, OSHC (health cover), living costs, and visa fees. Prepare a realistic funding plan and keep evidence ready (bank statements, sponsor letters, scholarship proof).

4) Apply and secure your offer

Prepare your SOP/statement, CV (for postgraduate), transcripts, and references. Submit applications, respond to requests quickly, and review your offer conditions carefully.
